God knows what's going on, at the time of writing, but I'm glad I took the bike this morning. Here's the scene outside Kings Cross.
--later--
Now, I didn't really know what had happened at this point. This is 9.27am - and, thanks to someone throwing themselves under a train, the tube was stopped for a short while when I needed to catch it. So I decided to catch the overland train to work: and cycled to my nearest overland station. Changing train halfway through, we were told that there were power problems in Moorgate, so all trains were going here.
When getting out of the train in Kings Cross, nothing particular had happened, so it seemed. One woman was talking hysterically into a phone about "there's been a bomb", but this happens regularly in London, and her colleague was reassuring her that it was just a train which had collided, so I didn't really worry.
It was only when getting to the front of Kings Cross that I was slightly confused: and only when getting to work that I realised the full details of what had happened today.
