terrific use of color, light, shadow and
repeating form...I think, though, I'd crop
out the volleyball net. It seems a bit
distracting from the pristine character of
the rest of the image.

This is great! Personally I think it's the
net that makes the shot. It helps create that
nothingness in the middle and highlights the
feeling of inactivity. Think this would be
good for the 'negative space' group.

I think it might work without the net, but
it'd be less strong. The unused net gives a
light anchor to the left side, and also
reinforces the emptiness, since it implies
the absence of people.

credo che la rete dia valore piuttosto che
toglierlo, rende la foto personale, anzichè
anonima. Mi comunica solitudine, deserto, una
dimensione parallela. The net makes it more
intersting than a simple beach . i like it.

I can't believe you're not a big fan of the
beach. This would make a fantastic picture
postcard. Terrific composition and
perspective! Spectacular caption. I
especially like the volleyball net in the
background, adds a nice 'vacation' feel to

opinion about beaches is changed. Yesterday i
was on the beach even if i slept for the most
part of the day.

Thats an inspirational pic! It definitely

This is a fantastic photograph of this beach
scene! Using the shadows, which draw your
eye to the infinity point and to the right.
Then there is the volleyball net in the
background, on the horizon to the left. My
eyes are constantly moving around this shot!
I love it! No wonder it was on the Flickr
home page!
