She began her photo musings at an early age, picking up her father's old camera. This sparked enough interest in her that she disguised herself as a boy and, at great peril to her person, embarked upon her studies at a secret ninja monastery in the icy climes of Western China. There she learned both the practice of Zazen and how to white balance her Nikon using only her thumb.
