try a traceroute to up.flickr.com and see if there is a problem with loss or latency en route.

Oh I'm so mad with this client. It absolutely sucks. I just spent an hour or more creating a set from a Holiday including detailed descriptions and everything. When I pressed upload, it just cleared the set and did nothing. I now have to start all over again.
It's a piece of junk but what reasonable Mac alternative is there.

I have trouble uploading as well. It loads up to about 10% and then I get a BONK notice which is very frustrating. It does this when I try on the laptop downstairs and the bigger computer upstairs. All our other connections and programmes work fine. What is a traceroute to up.flickr.com? I will try and find out and have a go.

There are several mentions of this on other threads. I am totally unable to upload photos; others who have this problem seem, like me, to be using Macs. Is there a compatability problem?

I'm also getting repeating BONK notices, both last night and this morning. Never had problems uploading before. Is there a general thing happening? What is the usual cause of this? I'm on Mac.

Have you recently updated your OS X to 10.5.3 or 10.5.4?
I know my Facebook upload problems started after 10.5.3 and my Flickr problems started after 10.5.4 - coincidence?

I'm using Windows Vista and having no end of problems uploading via the official 3.0.5 client. Why is it so bad, and why is it so unhelpful when something does go wrong? No other programs are experiencing any problems with my internet connection - why does Uploadr?

Try using the official 3.1 client. It fixed a lot of the bugs in 3.0.

If 3.1 is the version suggested for use (and that post you point towards is six weeks old), then why is it not available here:

I have no idea.
You certainly don't need to use it if you're not comfortable with it. You can stay with whatever is on that page.
But, if you're looking for the latest official Flickr Uploadr, use 3.1.

Tom. v 3.1 is available on the tools page that you linked, in tiny print under the download link for 3.0.5.

I am using Windows XP and I keep getting BONK notices. I also notice that I lose my available space every time I try to upload. I have only uploaded about 12 photos this month and my available space is down to 24mb. It is very frustrating and I am glad I am not the only one with these problems. I will have a look for juploader.org/ and see what happens.

Lots of people are complaining about the same problem on this thread too. It's not specific to Mac or Windows. I'm using the latest uploader on WinXP, and it's not worked for the last 3 days.
Even the web-based uploader is not working (I've been stuck on 57% for the last 8 hours.)
Where are the Flickr staff on either of these threads?

I've been having problems for months - shocking service for something that we (pro users) pay money for. The uploaders are very poor. My private web site uses gallery2 which works perfectly for uploading and is free. I use flickr as the photo backup mechanism and pay money for it yet it hasn't worked properly for ages.

It seems that this is the best thread to post video upload problems. The last staff response was 7 days ago.
