Blocking images in your comments
|
I love that people that the time to comment on my photos, and while their intentions are good, I hate seeing tacky/glittery/nonsense images in my comments section. Is there a way to block this? I've looked in my preferences, as well as searching the FAQ and the forums.
I've just been using my Adblock extension for Firefox to get rid of them, but that's not really a solution. Thanks in advance.

There is no way to block the comments without blocking the person.
If you block someone, all their comments will be removed from your photos, and they will not be able to add any more.

And the person you blocked will be another step closer to having their entire account deleted just for being tacky. "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

You seem to have confused a private commercial website with the public square.
Blocks have no impact on your account if you are not breaking any of the rules. What gets your account deleted is your own behavior, not how many blocks you have.

Well, maybe they would get the hint when they received their warning from Flickr about too many blocks on their stream to be more judicious in where they are leaving their tacky glittery award gifs.

this css style sheet makes them tolerable for me--it shrinks comment images to 24x24--but if you really need to, you can still see them at up to 500 pixels wide with a mouseover...
