Sets instead of Photostream on the main page
|
Hello!
Currently there is Photostream line hanging on my main page which is the first visible to visitors.
I'd rather have there my Sets where photos are properly organised and photostream somewhere elsewhere.
Is there a way to do so?
Thanks in advance!

No.
But you can send the link to your sets page to your friends, if you prefer. But there is no way to hide, remove, or otherwise ditch that visitors land on your photostream when they visit your Flickr page at

Hello, zyrcster! Thanks for reply.

I like it -- this way when I go to your page the *second* time, I'll know what's new :)

Makes it impossible to be organized and have sense of flow with your pictures.

I have sense of flow with my pictures, so it can't be impossible!

I want to restrict people to seeing certain sets and not others but it appears to be impossible with FlickR. Will have to look elsewhere.

You don't apply privacy settings to sets - sets are just collections of links. If you have images you want to share selectively, make them private. When you make a set with just those pictures, it will also be private. You can then choose who to share that set with.

Can you help me ? As you seem to know far more than me
I want to send 4 pic from here to a site elsewhere.
How do I list these pics so that I can find them from the other site and import them there ?

tqy2003 What do you mean by "send them to another site elsewhere"?
Do you want to post them so that they appear on another site?
Or do you want to upload an image to another site?
If you want to post your own images to another site using html, then go to your photo pages, click the All Sizes button above the photo, choose a size, then copy the html out of the 1st box beneath the photo for pasting elsewhere.
If you want some automated process that pulls your images, you'll need the API, and there are some API apps that you can configure or you can build your own if you're savvy with programming. Here's a link to some API tools that exist:
